From the history of the center

            The Distance Learning Center was created in 2013 based on the correspondence department, and since 2015, on the instructions and instructions of the founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, on the training of competent specialists through distance learning, it operates by regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan (under No. 05/01 dated 08/19/2015), according to the “ Regulations of distance education in institutions of higher professional education of the Republic of Tajikistan”, (under No. 17/20 dated 11/30/2022), “Regulations about the distance learning center of the Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi in the city of Khujand” (under No. 6 of 02/07/2023).

            The learning process in distance education is mainly carried out through the educational portal fosilavi.tj. The educational portal fosilavi.tj operates on the global Internet, in which there are separate rooms for teachers, students and center staff in three languages. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the state institution “National Patent Information Center” issued 8 intellectual certificates for the development of several modules of the educational portal fosilavi.tj

Main activities of the center

        The Distance Learning Center (DLC), considered one of the structural divisions of the university, organizes the educational process in distance education using modern information and telecommunication methods to train specialists with higher professional education who meet the needs of the internal and external labor market.

        Distance learning center through the educational portal fosilavi.tj. (24 hours a day) provides students with educational opportunities: access to theoretical and practical materials in electronic form (slides, audio presentations, video clips of lessons), the opportunity to use an electronic library, participation in forums and webinars, the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the lesson schedule and academic certificate, results submitting ratings, the ability to download homework and receive current grades for their completion, the ability to receive advice via letters (internal portal email), review your progress during the current and past semesters, change your own profile (password, image, additional information) and familiarization with the educational process.

        The student can work with a group and a teacher to study subjects through Microsoft telecommunications programs. Tems and Telegram - messenger from all regions of the world.

            The main functions of the chief specialist of the Central Educational Center are the development and creation of a class schedule, checking the main and additional classes of students, monitoring the participation of teachers and students in classrooms, “On-line” and “Off-line” - (via the educational portal fosilavi.tj and e-mail) classes, consulting students when solving problems regarding the educational process, interacting with teachers, other faculty members and with employees of the registration and consultation center.

            The main functions of a CDO specialist are maintaining student documentation, including filling out personal sheets and examination books, preparing an individual plan for students during reinstatement and transfer, interacting with teachers and employees of the registration center and consultations on issues related to the educational process, maintaining center documentation, analysis of attendance and current performance of distance learning students, timely provision of information and notification of students about the start of classes and the start of the examination session.

The main function of the administrator of the distance learning system is organizing the educational process on the educational portal fosilavi.tj, providing access to the educational process of students and teachers through the educational portal fosilavi.tj, providing access to the educational portal fosilavi.tj to the Internet, providing e-mail for each teacher and student for effective use in the educational process.

According to the strategic plan, the following activities are planned for the activities of the Distance Learning Center for its development:

- attracting teachers and students to distance education;

- attracting teachers from foreign countries to conduct classes through webinars and forums;

- development of multimedia materials for technical specialties in order to replenish the information base of the distance learning center and provide educational materials to students located in the Republic of Tajikistan and abroad;

- development of virtual laboratories for conducting laboratory classes in technical subjects.
