FROM THE HISTORY OF THE LIBRARY

The Polytechnic Institute has three libraries, which were established in 2010. Libraries are located in the faculties of engineering and technology, digital technologies and in the main building.

Libraries have a reading room with 346 seats, equipped with 1 monoblock, 1 laptops and 100 modern computers, all computers are connected to the Internet, the Institute's Information management System (SIID) and the Institute's electronic library. Over 15 years of operation, the library has achieved significant success, the most important of which is the replenishment of library fund. If in 2010, the number of books was 118,988 copies, then in 2025 this figure reached 159,276 copies.

Contests are regularly held in the library, designed to arouse students' interest in reading, exhibitions of new books and works by scientists dedicated to historical holidays are held. For example: "Furugi subhi donoi kitob ast", an exhibition of books dedicated to Book Day, Independence Day, Rudaki Day, Rumi Day, etc.

THE MAIN ACTIVITY OF THE LIBRARY

The library's activities are fully based on the Regulations on the Library of the institution of Higher Professional Education.

The library fund was originally collected on the basis of the library fund of branches of technical and technological universities and is currently being updated with new publications.

Currently, the total fund of the library is 159,276 copies of books (32092 titles), and consists of educational, methodological, scientific and fiction literature.

Including:

• educational literature – 114,951 copies.;

• guidelines – 17039 copies;

• art books – 8532 copies;

• scientific books and other genres – 18754 copies.

Number of books by languages:

• Tajik – 41008 copies;

• Russian – 93579 copies;

• English – 20095 copies;

• other languages – 4594 copies.

The ROOSTER Library provides various services:

• access to the library collection;

• request books;

• reading room;

• Subscription registration;

• access to electronic resources and online services through an electronic library;

• organization of meetings (exhibitions).

Students and staff of the Institute can freely access the necessary literature, read it in the reading room or take it with them. They can also access newspapers and magazines. There is also a permanent exhibition in the library called "New Books".

The PITTUKH Electronic Library is the first electronic library in the Republic of Tajikistan, which contains educational, methodological and scientific materials in pdf, djvu, txt, chm, doc, etc. formats. Thanks to it, each user has the opportunity to search for the necessary literature, pre-submit a request, take the book with them.

The general fund of the electronic library currently consists of 69,319 units of electronic materials (books, curricula, documents, etc.). Daily user visits are also logged into the system, and attendance figures are increasing every day.

LIBRARY STAFF

There are 6 employees working in the libraries of the Institute:

Boboeva Mashhurakhon Ahmatovna – a head of the library. Job responsibilities: development and compliance with the rules for creating a library fund, preservation and accounting of the book reserve, introduction of new modern methods and technologies into the library, introduction of advanced and modern experience in the field of librarianship.

Boltuboeva Mohira Murodovna – a librarian of the main building. Job responsibilities: organization of the library, reception and transfer of books, formation, preservation and accounting of the book reserve, processing and regular storage of the library fund, organization and holding of book exhibitions to attract readers.

Mulloeva Zuhro Bashirovna - a senior an electronic library specialist. Job responsibilities: conducting explanatory work on the work of the digital library for students; checking and identifying deficiencies and the lack of specialized e-books in the digital library fund; entering e-books into the digital library; scanning books and entering them into the digital library.

Murodova Munira Ibragimovna - a librarian at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Job responsibilities: organization of the library, reception and transfer of books, formation, preservation and accounting of the book reserve, processing and regular storage of the library fund, organization and holding of book exhibitions to attract readers.

Abdumalikova Shafoat Abdugafforovna - a librarian of the Faculty of Digital Technologies library. Job responsibilities: organization of the library, reception and transfer of books, formation, preservation and accounting of the book reserve, processing and regular storage of the library fund, organization and holding of book exhibitions to attract readers.

Hakimova Muyassar Mukhtorovna - laboratory assistant librarian of the Faculty of Digital Technologies. Job responsibilities: The laboratory assistant is responsible for the condition of computers, monitors readers while using the computer, scans books and enters them into the digital library, explains to readers how to use the digital library.
