From the history of the department

    Department of automobiles and management in transport on the basis of the department of mechanics of the Khujand branch of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after Academician M. S. On September 1, 2010, after the join with The Branch of Technological University of Tajikistan and the establishment of the Polytechnic Institute of the  Technical University of Tajikistan named after academician M. S. Osimi was established in the city of Khujand. The department prepares specialists at three levels of education according to the following specialties:

1-370107 – Automobile service and 1-440101 – Organization of transport and management in automobile and urban transport, (Bachelor and Master's level) and 6D090100 – Organization of transport, movement and use of transport (Ph.D. level by specialization).

For the organization and development of the department, the activities of experienced employees F.A. Aminov, B. Fathiddinov. R., Akramov A., Bashikov I.T., Mansurov Sh. R., Alibaev N. A., Rakhmatov A. and others is significant.

     Since the establishment of the department (September 2010) until now, the following teachers have been in charge of the department: Akramov A. (2010-2015); Aliyev Sh.S. (2015-22021); Tohirov T.I. (2021-2022). From 2022, the department will be headed by Salimov I.I. is in charge.

     There is a car service station equipped with new and modern equipment, where practical, practical-laboratory and laboratory works of the department's specialties are carried out near the department.

During the activity of the department, the teachers of the department have published more than 20 educational materials and textbooks, more than 40 instructions and methodical instructions, more than 232 scientific articles and 16 methodical instructions for practical laboratory work.

Three test laboratories were put into use at the Department of Motor Vehicles, where diagnostic works, technical maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles, as well as repairs of passenger car engines and their units are carried out.

The main activity of the department

Department of automobiles and management in transport is one of the main parts of the educational and scientific structure of the Polytechnic Institute of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after academician M. Osimi. Management in road and urban transport (Bachelor and Master's level) and 6D090100 - Organization of transport, movement and use of transport (PhD level by specialization) is the main department.

  The department conducts its activity in the direction of educational and methodical, scientific and research, social and educational activities and international relations for the development and specialized subjects of this direction and specializations, organization of professional development and short-term courses on the technologies of these fields, they serve the needy according to the contract.

   The activity of the department in the direction of preparing bachelors, masters, specialists, doctors of philosophy (PhD), doctors by specialty, candidates and doctors of science, who have the knowledge and high professional skills necessary for their successful operation, as well as the development of the student's creative ability, scientific ability doctoral student by specialty, doctoral student and the formation of their citizenship status.

      In the doctoral program, the training of scientific personnel in the field of organization of transport, movement and use of transport is carried out by awarding the highest academic degree "Doctor of Philosophy (RhD), Doctor in the specialty - Organization of transport, movement and use of transport". The educational program for preparing a Doctor of Philosophy (RhD) has a scientific-pedagogical orientation and provides basic, educational, methodological, research and in-depth study of subjects according to the relevant areas of science for the system of higher and postgraduate education and the scientific and research field. The level of previous education of those who wish to master the educational program of a doctorate by specialty - completed a master's degree.
