From the
history of the department
The Department
of Foreign Languages was formed based on the Department of Foreign Languages of
the Khujand branch of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after
academician M. S. Osimi after the merger with the Khujand Branch of the
Technological University of Tajikistan and the establishment of the Polytechnic
Institute of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after academician M.
S. Osimi was established in the city of Khujand, by order number 009-HU dated
September 8, 2010. From the formation of the department until now, the following
teachers have been in charge of the department: Ghaibulloeva M.G., Karimboeva
H.K., Khusainova F.Kh., Soliev Z.T. Since 2022, the department has been headed
by Islomova P.N. For the organization and development of the department, the
activities of experienced employees Ghaibulloeva M.G., Karimboeva H.K., Soliev
Z.T., Fuzaylov K.F., Ikromova A.M., Akbarov A.A., Akhmedova N.K., Sodikova T.A.,
Rahmonova I.Y. and others is significant.
The main activity of the department.
The
department's activity in the field of educational and methodological,
scientific and research, social and educational activities and international
relations consists of the effective implementation of legal regulations related
to the Russian and English languages, for all areas and specialties on the
study of the Russian and English languages, the organization of professional
development courses and provide short-term services. The Department of Languages
is a center for the academic study of Russian and English languages, where
students have the opportunity to expand their language skills and gain a deeper
understanding of the cultural aspects of both languages. The department teaches
Russian and foreign language subjects to specialists at three levels of
education. The teachers of the department work continuously to implement the
state program of improving education and training in Russian and English
languages.
Teachers of the
department have published scientific articles, educational materials textbooks,
assignments and methodical instructions, for the implementation of practical
work.

whom are teachers and 1 secretary.

The main areas of scientific and creative research
Scientific
research work of the department is carried out in the direction of "Developing Communicative Competence in
the Practice of Teaching Russian and English Languages at the Technical
University", which includes various methods of teaching foreign and
Russian languages, and the analysis of the effectiveness of using various
interactive methods in the educational process.
International activity of the department
Teachers
of the department actively participate in the programs MENTOR, FULBRIGHT,
funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan, for professional development. The
department also cooperates with the International Relations Department of the
Institute.
