From the history of the department
The Department of Digital Economy was established in 2020 within the
Faculty of Engineering and Economics. Since its establishment, the department
has offered 3 bachelor's degree specialties (1-26 03 01 - Information resources
management, 1-40 01 02-02 - Information technology and system (in economics), 1-40
03 01 - Artificial intelligence), 2 master's degree specialties
(1-400102-Information systems and technologies (by directions), 1-40 03 01 –
Artificial intelligence) and 2 doctorate-level specialties (6D-070300 -
Information systems, 6D-070400 - Computer engineering and software)
Most of the teachers of the department are graduates of this institute
and received knowledge and skills in the Department of Programming and
Information Systems.
The main activity of the department
The purpose of the department is to train highly qualified personnel in
the field of information systems and resources, system analysis, artificial
intelligence, innovative management in internal and external economic
activities, active participation in the formation of the country's scientific,
technical and production policy.
Duties of the department:

training
of highly qualified specialists on information systems and resources,
systematic analysis of economic processes and technologies of international
trade and economy, information and analytical systems in various fields;

conducting
scientific research in the field of innovative development of economic systems,
economic security and decision-making in conditions of uncertainty;
·
collaboration
with internal and external stakeholders. joint resolution of issues related to
the strategic implementation of the development of KPITTU named after M. Osimi;
·
creating
conditions for training, attracting and retaining highly qualified personnel in
the field of information systems and technologies, economy and artificial
intelligence;
·
education
of students' patriotism, creation of favorable conditions for employees,
development of infrastructure, improvement of the quality of education.

Bachelor's degree programs

o Graduates of the specialty acquire knowledge and skills in the fields
of management, economics and IT, work as financial analysts, systems analysts,
business analysts, IT and systems implementation managers, IT project managers,
system administrators.
• 1 40 01 02 – 02 – Technology and information system (in economy)
o The graduate works as a programmer-economist, information systems
manager, digital information analyst, web designer, database administrator,
credit expert, marketer, PR manager, web programmer, system administrator, web
application developer and computer program adjuster.
• 1-40 03 01 – Artificial intelligence
o A graduate of the following specialty as a data analyst, programmer in
the environment of artificial intelligence processing, manager-analyst of
information resources, manager of excessive data, database administrator,
specialist-analyst in the field of banking, telecommunications, mobile
companies and other areas that has big data for processing.
Master's degree programs

o Graduates specializing in the field of design and implementation of
information systems and technologies, engineering and intelligent analysis of
big data to solve the issues of digital transformation of the activities of
organizations and enterprises
• 1-40 03 01 – Artificial intelligence
o Graduates are able to perform complex IT tasks in large enterprises
and bring innovative ideas to commercial use. They can also work in software
companies developing and implementing artificial intelligence algorithms for
analyzing large volumes of data and managing technical systems.

o Graduates of the course prepare for the following types of
professional activity: professional activity in production and state research
organizations, in IT companies, manufacturing companies and tasks related to
information technologies and systems

doctoral program are prepared for research, design, and teaching activities in
the field of software development, implementation, and improvement of computing
systems.
